Welcome to Mending Minds Psychiatry, LLC

Mental health care shouldn't leave you feeling rushed or unheard.

Together, we'll uncover what's contributing to your symptoms, help you understand your mind, and create a treatment plan that actually fits your life.

Maybe you've tried medications before.

Maybe you've been told your anxiety is "just stress."

Maybe you've spent years wondering why your brain works the way it does.

You don't need another provider who spends fifteen minutes checking boxes.

You deserve someone who listens, explains what's happening, and partners with you to build a plan that makes sense.

CEO/Founder/PMHNP

Lindsey Tatum, DNP, APRN, NP-C, PMHNP-BC

If you're here, there's a good chance life feels heavier than you'd like it to right now. Maybe anxiety has become overwhelming, depression has taken away your motivation, ADHD has made it difficult to stay organized, or you're carrying the weight of trauma, stress, or life's unexpected challenges. Whatever brought you here, I'm glad you've taken this step. Seeking help isn't always easy, and I'm honored you're considering trusting me with your care.

I'm Lindsey Tatum, a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I provide telehealth psychiatric care for adults across Georgia, Florida, and Colorado. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, adjustment disorders, PMDD, womens and mens health issues, ADHD, Opioid Use Disorder (including Suboxone treatment), Alcohol Use Disorder, and many other mental health concerns. While medication management is my primary specialty, I believe the best care comes from understanding the whole person—not just treating symptoms.

My Philosophy

I believe mental health care should never feel rushed or one-sided. You deserve to understand what's happening in your mind, why you're experiencing certain symptoms, and why a particular treatment is being recommended. Education is an important part of every visit because I believe informed patients are empowered patients.

While medication management is often an important part of treatment, I don't believe prescriptions alone create lasting change. Together, we'll explore the bigger picture—including your physical health, sleep, stress, relationships, lifestyle, and, if it's important to you, your faith or spirituality. My goal is to create a treatment plan that is personalized, practical, and aligned with your goals and values.

My role isn't to tell you what to do. It's to listen, educate, guide, and partner with you as we work toward improving your mental health and overall well-being.

What It's Like to Work With Me

I want every appointment to feel like a conversation—not a checklist. My patients often tell me they appreciate having a provider who truly listens, takes time to explain things clearly, and helps them understand the "why" behind their symptoms and treatment options.

You'll never be expected to navigate this journey alone. If something isn't working, we'll adjust the plan together. If life changes, your treatment can change with it. Mental health isn't one-size-fits-all, and your care shouldn't be either.

My goal is for you to leave each appointment feeling heard, respected, informed, and hopeful—with a clear understanding of your treatment plan and confidence in the next steps.

I May Be a Good Fit If You...

  • You're looking for a provider who listens first and treats you as a whole person—not just a diagnosis.

  • You want to understand why you're feeling the way you do and be actively involved in your treatment decisions.

  • You value education, collaboration, and open communication.

  • You're open to exploring medication management as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.

  • You're ready to partner with someone who is invested in helping you make meaningful, lasting progress.

A Little About Me

Outside of caring for patients, my greatest joy is spending time with my family, our pets, and being outdoors. I believe in lifelong learning, personal growth, and continually expanding my knowledge so I can provide the highest quality care possible. Every patient has a unique story, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside people during some of life's most challenging seasons.

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. If you feel that my approach resonates with you, I would be honored to partner with you on your journey toward better mental health. Together, we'll work to help you better understand your mind, overcome obstacles, and build a life that feels healthier, more balanced, and more fulfilling.

Dr. Lindsey Tatum pays attention to every detail in a caring way, and asks all the right questions to ensure I am feeling like the best version of myself. While she is very professional, she is so easy to talk to and visits with her are both productive and enjoyable. Cannot recommend enough!!
